Lirpa launch ‘credit crunch phone’
Some rather interesting news out of Latvia this morning. A company called ‘Lirpa’ have unveiled a credit crunch-busting mobile phone.
The 100-F has a £1 coin slot for calls and a 10p slot for texts, along with a chip-and-pin compatible card slot.
There’s no camera or MP3 player, or to be honest any other frilly features – but it does support SMS, MMS and a new messaging concept called ‘IOU’.
