Nokia unveil new 3G clamshell handset
Nokia have just announced a new clamshell-style 3G handset that, according to the company, “pairs original design and quality workmanship with outstanding features.”
As well as sleak looks and a rather neat external analog clock, The Nokia 6555, estimated to retail at €200 without subsidy, features a QVGA 16 million colour 240×320 display, an unknown resolution camera with 6x zoom, video sharing and WCDMA and quadband GSM functionality.
“Mobile-savvy consumers expect superior quality and design. We understood that need, and so created the the Nokia 6555. The Nokia 6555 is a sophisticated accessory delivering the outstanding features that you expect from Nokia,” said Markku Suomi, Product Group Director, Mobile Phones, Nokia.
The handset also does the usual stuff, like make calls, send texts, and has Bluetooth. Nokia haven’t released a whole heap more information apart from that, as it appears they’re aiming the product more at fashion-conscious consumers than mobile geeks who get excited over umpteen million features.
