Some detailed iPhone app store stats
To say the iPhone App store is growing fast is somewhat of an understatement. With over 25,000 applications and over 800 million downloads, it’s quite a success story. But amongst all the ‘fart’ applications and other useless junk, what are the real stats? Who’s got the most popular apps?
Step forward comScore. They’ve just released their latest report breaking down these figures into something meaningful. For instance, Tap Tap Revenge has been installed by nearly one in three iTunes users. The report also shows US penetration rates for the top 25 applications based on number of installs.
