Verizon starts shipping Samsung Alias 2 handset
Verizon have announced the brand new Samsung Alias 2 dual-hinge messaging phone – complete with morphing ‘E Ink keyboard’ – is now available its stores for $79.99 on a two year contract.
The handset’s keyboard changes based on the function currently being used on the phone – which is quite impressive. You can open it vertically as a flip phone and it’ll pop up with a traditional numeric keypad, but open it in landscape and out comes a QWERTY keyboard.
As well as this rather cool feature, it comes with RemoSync (for syncing corporate email, contacts and calendars), a 2.0 megapixel camera, visual voicemail and the usual features you’d expect on a handset like Bluetooth, web browsing, and of course most importantly: the ability to make and receive phone calls.
